Planting for Pollinators

Join the UC Master Gardeners of Lake Tahoe for a workshop dedicated to supporting the pollinators in your own backyard. In this free class, you will learn how to create a beautiful, water-wise garden that supports Tahoe’s native pollinators, including bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to provide season-long blooms.
  • How to incorporate native and Tahoe-adapted plants.
  • How to create habitat that supports pollinators throughout the year.

Whether you are starting a new garden or enhancing an existing landscape, you’ll leave with practical ideas and plant recommendations to help pollinators, and your garden, to flourish.

  • Time: 10-11:30 am
  • Where: Keep Tahoe Blue, Spurlock/Evers Environment & Education Center | 2877 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150
  • Cost: Free

Note:

This is an in-person event. Parking is very limited. Allow time to park at the old Denny’s parking lot across the street and walk over via the crosswalks at the traffic light. On-site registration is available, space permitting.
