MEDIA ADVISORY: Bike Path Cleanup on Monday, June 3

League to Save Lake Tahoe

Who: Volunteers! The event is put on by the League to Save Lake Tahoe, Clean Tahoe Program, Lake Tahoe Bicycle Coalition, South Tahoe Refuse and Recycle Services, and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency.

What: Celebrate the Tahoe Bike Challenge with this fun, community cleanup event to prepare our bike paths for summer. Afterwards, we’ll all meet up for a hosted celebration with food, drinks and a raffle.  All ages are welcome and all supplies will be provided! Volunteers are encouraged to ride their bike and will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize! More details here.

When: Monday, June 3 from 5 – 8 pm

Why: To get South Tahoe’s bike paths clean for the summer biking season, and prevent litter from entering our streams and Lake Tahoe.

The League to Save Lake Tahoe, also known by the slogan “Keep Tahoe Blue,” is Tahoe’s oldest and largest nonprofit environmental advocacy organization.
