Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival

April 15, 2023 | 11 am - 5 pm
April 15, 2023 11:00 am April 15, 2023 5:00 pm Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival

One of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the region, this free community event will take place at The Village at Palisades Tahoe from 11 am – 5 pm on Saturday, April 15. The event gives kids and adults the opportunity to learn about recycling, composting, alternative energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities the whole family can enjoy.

Stop by the Keep Tahoe Blue booth to learn how you can help protect the Lake, and to participate in our fun, hands-on activity to receive a cool prize!

This event is a community tradition to learn about sustainable products and services offered by local organizations and businesses, meet with local nonprofits that share Earth Day values (like the League!), and to showcase local musicians, artists, and entertainers. Our goal is to connect the community with the people and resources in our region that foster innovation, initiate change, and ultimately implement an equitable partnership for a greener planet.

Back for 2023: Recycle with Us
Lithium battery or e-waste! We’ve partnered with Redwood Materials and the Rotary Clubs of Truckee/North Tahoe to host an on-site battery and e-waste recycling drop off at the festival. Bring your phones, laptops, tablets, power tools, and any other device with a lithium-ion battery to the Redwood Materials booth to have it properly recycled.

Back for its third year and bigger than ever, students from the Tahoe Truckee Unified School District along with help from Mountain Forge, Forest Charter, Palisades Tahoe and Citizens Climate Lobby, North Tahoe have created a brand new climate Stripes Exhibit for the 2023 Tahoe Truckee Earth Day.
