June 16, 2025 7:00 am June 16, 2025 10:00 am Love for Kings Beach Day – June 16, 2025

Join us at Kings Beach as we kickoff the Tahoe Blue Beach pilot program with a cleanup, Tahoe Blue Crew activations, and beach-cleaning by the BEBOT!

This summer, the Tahoe Blue Beach program is expanding to Kings Beach. This first-of-its-kind beach management initiative brings together land managers, concessionaires, businesses, nonprofits, and cutting-edge technology to make responsible, Lake-friendly recreation the easy and obvious choice for anyone who comes to play. The goal is simple: clean and pristine Tahoe beaches that stay that way all summer. Learn about what makes a Tahoe Blue Beach.

The North Tahoe Community Alliance’s TOT-TBID Dollars At Work funds our work in Kings Beach. The program reinvests funds generated in North Lake Tahoe to support community vitality, environmental stewardship and economic health. In addition to NTCA, California State Parks is a key partner in the Tahoe Blue Beach pilot project.

The gathering on Monday, June 16 will feature:

  • A robotic beach-cleaning by the BEBOT, courtesy of our friends at ECO-CLEAN Solutions.
  • Volunteer cleanup with our team from Keep Tahoe Blue and the North Tahoe Public Utilities District.
  • Adopt your favorite corner of Tahoe to keep litter-free through our Tahoe Blue Crew program. Learn about what goes into forming your own crew, and how you can adopt spots like Kings Beach.
  • An opportunity to learn more about the Tahoe Blue Beach program and provide feedback on what you would like to see at Kings Beach.

Parking: Free parking will be available to attendees. Once you park, check-in at the meeting location and we will provide to you a parking pass.

Meeting location: On the sand near the North Tahoe Event Center – 8318 N Lake Blvd, Kings Beach, CA 96143

Time:
7 – 10 am, robotic beach-cleaning
8 – 10 am, Tahoe Blue Crew activation and beach cleanup
