Together with the Tahoe Resource Conservation District, Keep Tahoe Blue invites volunteers of all ages to remove invasive terrestrial weeds from Johnson Meadow, so they don’t disrupt the native ecosystem.

Meeting location: At the end of Winnemucca Ave in South Lake Tahoe (next to Barton Memorial Hospital).

Sign up:

  • Click the blue “Sign Up” button to sign up.
  • Volunteers under 18 – will need to create a volunteer account and provide a guardian’s email to complete the waiver online.
  • Volunteers under 13 – will need to provide a guardian’s email to create a volunteer account and complete the waiver online.

What to bring: Water, snacks, close-toed shoes, and sun protection (sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, etc.)

What we will provide: Tools, gloves, trash bags/buckets, and any other materials required for weeding
