About the event:
Kickoff Tahoe Bike Month by cleaning up our community bike paths! Oftentimes these paths can be littered and the cleanup gets these paths ready for a great summer biking season.
Volunteers can meet at one of four locations throughout South Tahoe to pick up litter from the areas around our bike paths. Following the cleanup, we will all meet for post-event fun, food, and drinks at The Hangar.
Volunteers are encouraged to ride their bikes, scooters, skateboards, or walk to the event!

- The Y Area Bike Path – meeting location at Clean Tahoe office (2074 Lake Tahoe Blvd)
- Upper Truckee River Bike Path – meeting location at the Keys Cafe parking lot (2279 Lake Tahoe Blvd)
- Trout Creek Bike Path – meeting location at Lakeview Commons (corner of Lakeview Ave and Highway 50). Tahoe Tours and Rentals will be providing bicycles to ride for free for volunteers attending the Bike Path Cleanup!
- Lake Shore Bike Path – meeting location on the rainbow path at the parking lot next to The Idle Hour parking lot (3351 Lake Tahoe Boulevard). Lime scooters will be available for free for volunteers attending the Bike Path Cleanup!
Sign up:
- Sign up for one of the meeting locations linked above. You will receive a confirmation from no-reply@galaxydigital.com.
- Final details will be sent a few days prior to the event to those that sign up. If you do not pre-register, you will need to complete a volunteer waiver onsite during event check-in.
- Volunteers under 18 – will need to create a volunteer account and provide a guardian email to complete the waiver online.
- Volunteers under 13 – will need to provide a guardian email to create a volunteer account and complete the waiver online.
What to bring:
- Your bike, scooter, skateboard to ride along the bike path as we pick up litter. Or attend one of the two sites that will provide a free scooter or bike for the event!
- Comfortable clothing/shoes
- Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and appropriate layers
- Cleanup gloves (if you have them)
- Any snacks that you would like, and a full reusable water bottle
- Your ID and wallet to purchase drinks and additional food items at The Hangar
We provide cleanup materials, equipment, cool giveaways and a food item from Melt. at The Hangar
