Stephen Brandenburger

Forever Blue Council Member

Stephen Brandenburger’s devotion to Lake Tahoe stems from birth when his parents purchased a cabin on the shores of Lake Tahoe at Homewood in 1941. Growing up at Lake Tahoe in the summers instilled a deep fondness for the Lake. After his parents sold the cabin in 1965, just before he married, he was determined to regain the Tahoe Experience for his future family and found a near substitute at Donner Lake.

After graduating from Occidental College in 1963, he went on to the study of law at McGeorge College of Law at the University of Pacific and practiced law for nearly 30 years in Sacramento. Now retired, Stephen volunteered to serve on the Board of the League to Save Lake Tahoe for 25 years and was president in 1987-1988.
