Rose Barber-Callicrate
Rose joins Keep Tahoe Blue as a summer policy intern working on advancing new policy measures and solutions.
Rose is a rising junior at the University of Nevada, Reno, pursuing degrees in both Political Science and Dance. She previously interned with the Reno office of U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto during the spring 2026 semester, aiding in constituent services for the Northern Nevadan community, and continues to lead strategic student relations and facilitate youth civic engagement on campus as President of the UNR Young Democrats (2026-2027).
She has also contributed to local, state, and national campaigns during the 2024 election cycle alongside the Nevada State Democratic Party. As a born-and-raised Northern Nevadan, Rose’s main passion lies in promoting sustainability and seeking effective environmental solutions to climate change across the high desert and Lake Tahoe regions.
Outside of her work in politics and policy, Rose is a professional dancer in the Reno/Tahoe area with over 15 years of training, specializing in modern and tap dance, and she is a company member of several local professional dance companies. She is also a part-time content creator for the Reno/Tahoe-based dermatologist-developed sunscreen company SPOOGE, where she advocates for sun safety at high altitudes.
