Michael Ross is a senior adviser and member of the Investment Committee of Regis Management Company. In addition, Ross is the director of MLR Properties focused on residential real estate opportunities in the Lake Tahoe area. Previously, Ross was a founder of Makena Capital Management, a $17 Billion investment fund and prior to that he was the Chief Investment Officer at the Stanford Management Company, which is responsible for Stanford University’s $20 Billion in financial assets. Ross received a B.A. from Princeton University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Ross is a board member and former President of the Tahoe Meadows Historic District in South Lake Tahoe, where his family has owned a cabin for over 60 years. Ross is married and has two children. In 2014, Ross biked solo across the United States and looks forward to swimming in the Trans Tahoe Relay every year.
