Melissa brings more than 12 years of political and non-profit fundraising experience to the League. As Director of Development, she oversees fundraising efforts and strategy, including individual, corporate and foundation giving. She enjoys helping donors realize their philanthropic goals and dreams to Keep Tahoe Blue.

Melissa joined the League in 2022 after working for various human services organizations, including Carson Tahoe Health, Veterans Guest House and Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada. During her fundraising tenure, Melissa has raised over $16.5 million in philanthropic contributions. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE).

A native of Reno, Melissa worked in political fundraising after college during which time she lived in 10 states and 13 cities in two years working for various political candidates. She returned to Reno in 2015 and loves being home, surrounded by mountains, sagebrush and the overall beauty of the Reno-Tahoe region. Melissa loves Nevada football, traveling the world with her mom and spending quiet nights with her significant other, Randy, and Pomsky, Olive.  She holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Nevada, Reno in Political Science and Speech Communications.
