MK joins Keep Tahoe Blue as the Sustainable Recreation Associate, supporting community events and programs that promote responsible recreation. She powers our Tahoe Blue Crew and rally volunteers, helping bring community events to life.

A South Lake Tahoe local, MK grew up exploring the region’s forests, beaches, and trails, which shaped her connection to the environment early on. As a teenager, she worked at the Taylor Creek Visitor Center supporting environmental education programs, and later contributed to the Sierra Nevada Alliance’s ambassador program, helping guide high school students to become environmental leaders in the Tahoe Basin.

MK holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Recreation from the University of California, Davis. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with friends, hiking local trails, and getting creative through crafting.
