Kristin Keane
As Development and Event Specialist, Kristin’s highest priority is to ensure the success of the League’s Annual Benefit Fashion Show, which provides over 40% of the organization’s annual budget. This multi-faceted project includes support from corporate partners, foundations, and friends throughout the US.
Kristin is an experienced development professional with a deep love for the outdoors. After graduating from Prescott College in 1991 with a BA in Counseling and minor in Environmental Studies, Kristin worked for the Sierra Club, managing the Clair Tappaan Lodge and its backcountry hut system. From there, she relocated to Sacramento for her husband to attend law school, while she began a career in development at UC Davis. Returning to Lake Tahoe, Kristin then served as Director of Annual Giving at Sierra Nevada College.
Kristin joined the League in 2001 as Director of Development and has since served as an employee and/or contractor, securing millions of dollars in funding to Keep Tahoe Blue.
When not at work, Kristin can be found out-of-doors where she enjoys telemark skiing, backpacking, kayaking, traveling abroad, gardening, and trying to keep up with her adventurous teenagers.
