Kimberley Milligan
Kimberley Milligan has spent time at Lake Tahoe throughout her life, mostly on the north shore. Kim began her legal career as an associate at Morrison & Foerster. Inspired by her pro bono clients, she left the firm to represent domestic violence survivors and their families as Legal Director at the Center for Domestic Violence Prevention. Kim later joined the California Judicial Council as a policy attorney, where she provided leadership and legal analysis for projects concerning domestic violence, families, and children in the state courts. She has served on and chaired several nonprofit boards – she currently serves as Board Chair of American Rivers and previously served on the board of the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL). Kim is an active member of Rachel’s Network, especially on issues of diversity, equity and inclusion in the conservation movement. Kim served on the League’s Board of Directors from 2018 through 2022. She received a B.A. from Stanford and a J.D. from Columbia Law School and lives in Durango, CO with her husband Chris and their 2.5 dogs.
