Daria Walsh
In her role as Community Engagement Associate, Daria helps lead volunteer events, supports outreach programs, and connects with community members and partners to inspire action and stewardship. Whether she’s involved with citizen science or hands-on restoration projects, engaging with volunteers, or representing Keep Tahoe Blue at events, she plays a key role in bringing people together to protect Lake Tahoe.
Daria joined Keep Tahoe Blue with a background in forestry and aquatic field research with the U.S. Forest Service, along with experience in customer service and community-facing roles. Her passion for conservation has taken her from Yellowstone National Park to New Zealand and the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where she’s contributed to hands-on environmental work in diverse landscapes.
Daria holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystem Science and Sustainability from Colorado State University. Outside of work, you can find her hiking, skiing, or playing beach volleyball along the shores of Lake Tahoe.
