Aven joins Keep Tahoe Blue as the 2026 Sustainable Recreation Intern.

By assisting with cleanup events, Tahoe Blue Crews, and the Tahoe Blue Beach program, they hope to encourage sustainable recreation in Lake Tahoe. Currently, Aven is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Conservation Science and Policy, as well as a Minor in Linguistics at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Aven grew up in South Lake Tahoe, spending countless hours climbing, biking, hiking, and skiing. They have a keen interest in insects, natural history, and conservation.
