NALMS 2026 International Symposium – November 3 – 6, 2026

Keep Tahoe Blue at the 2026 NALMS Symposium

Lake Tahoe’s fight against aquatic invasive species depends on early detection, community action, and clear science. This November 3 – 6, 2026, Courtney Baumann, Engagement Manager, will present at the 46th International Symposium of the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS) in Kelowna, British Columbia.

The symposium brings together 500–600 lake management professionals, researchers, agency partners, and citizen science leaders to exchange ideas and advance lake protection.

Courtney oversees Keep Tahoe Blue’s aquatic invasive species programs, including Eyes on the Lake and outreach efforts that train residents, visitors, and businesses to identify and report aquatic invaders before they spread.

Her presentation will show how early detection and trained volunteers can help slow the spread of species like golden mussels — a model other lake communities can adapt for their own waters.

This professional symposium is not a public Keep Tahoe Blue event. We are highlighting Courtney’s role in sharing Tahoe-tested solutions with lake protection leaders beyond the Basin.
