Eyes on the Lake Training – June 6, 2024

Do you love to kayak, paddleboard, and walk on the shoreline at Lake Tahoe? Then join us for a free Eyes on the Lake training! This training is open to the public, all ages welcome.

Learn how to identify Tahoe’s various native and invasive aquatic plants, and how to report observations that allow the League and our partners to control new populations of aquatic invaders before they do lasting damage to Lake Tahoe. We want to be sure that Lake Tahoe remains clear and blue!

Sign up:

  • Sign up hereYou will receive a confirmation from no-reply@galaxydigital.com.
  • Final details will be sent a few days prior to the event to those that sign up. If you do not pre-register, you will need to complete a volunteer waiver onsite during check-in.
  • Volunteers under 18 – will need to create a volunteer account and provide a guardian email to complete the waiver online.
  • Volunteers under 13 – will need to provide a guardian email to create a volunteer account and complete the waiver online.

Meeting location: Tahoe Keys Marina | 2435 Venice Dr E, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150

Time: Presentation from 10 – 11 am and at the marina dock from 11 am – noon

Be sure to bring: Your phone to download the free survey app, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, wear shorts and shoes that might get wet surveying at the shoreline.

We provide: Training, waterproof ID guide, pencils and paper for notes, and refreshments
