Join us as we celebrate the kickoff of Tahoe Bike Month with a community BIKE PATH CLEANUP event!

Cleanup: 5 – 7:30 pm

Bike Month Kickoff: 7:30 – 9:00 pm

About the event:

Kickoff Tahoe Bike Month by cleaning up our community bike paths! Often, these paths can be littered, and cleanup gets them ready for a great summer biking season.

Volunteers can meet at one of the locations throughout South Tahoe to pick up litter along our bike paths. Following the cleanup, all our welcome to join us at The Hangar for fun, food, drinks, and music from Boogie Zoo at.

Volunteers are encouraged to ride their bikes, scooters, skateboards, or walk to the event! Lime, a sponsor partner for this event, will be donating discounted rides for event attendees at the Trout Creek location meeting at the Keep Tahoe Blue Spurlock/Evers Environment and Education Center.

Sign up:

  • Sign up for your chosen cleanup location below:
  • Final details will be sent to those who sign up a few days prior to the event. If you do not pre-register, you will need to complete a volunteer waiver onsite during event check-in.
  • Volunteers under 18 – will need to create a volunteer account and provide a guardian’s email to complete the waiver online.
  • Volunteers under 13 – will need to provide a guardian’s email to create a volunteer account and complete the waiver online.

​What to bring:

  • Your bike, scooter or skateboard to ride along the bike path as we pick up litter. Or attend one of the two sites that will provide a free scooter or bike for the event!
  • Comfortable clothing/shoes
  • Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, and appropriate layers
  • Cleanup gloves (if you have them)
  • Any snacks that you would like, and a full reusable water bottle
  • Your ID and wallet to purchase drinks and additional food items at The Hangar

We provide cleanup materials, equipment, cool giveaways and a food item at The Hangar

The event is organized through a partnership between Keep Tahoe Blue, Lake Tahoe Bike Coalition, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Clean Tahoe, South Tahoe Refuse, and The Hangar
