Earth Month is here, and it's one of the best times to get outside and give back to Lake Tahoe. Join us for an Earth Day Cleanup, stop by a community festival, explore the Spurlock/Evers Environment & Education Center, or head out for an early spring hike. However you spend time here, every action helps protect the Lake.
As Keep Tahoe Blue celebrates 69 years on April 19, we invite you to be part of what comes next. Show up, take care, and leave Tahoe better than you found it. |

What happens beyond the Tahoe Basin shapes the Lake's future. To protect the Lake, our work stretches beyond the Tahoe Basin's borders, because that's where some of its biggest threats begin, from wildfire to invasive species.
Our latest blog highlights one way our Conservation Across Borders approach is taking shape, as CEO Darcie Goodman Collins, PhD, helps lead a statewide effort to "cut the green tape" and accelerate restoration across California. |

Revised Palisades Tahoe Development Plan |
|
|
Last year, we collaborated with Sierra Watch and Alterra Mountain Company to significantly reduce the size of the Village at Palisades Tahoe Project and the environmental impacts it would have created for Tahoe. On April 16, the right-sized plan takes the next step when it's presented to Placer County. We look forward to continuing our work with Palisades Tahoe and Sierra Watch to see the terms of our settlement agreement take shape. |
