Invasive Weeds in the Tahoe Keys:

Update on the Control Methods Test (CMT)

Aquatic invasive weeds spreading out of the Tahoe Keys threaten the whole Lake. The Control Methods Test (CMT) was designed to evaluate what tools can put the weeds in check safely and for the long term. Learn the latest and what’s next for the CMT at a webinar on Wednesday, June 5, from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

It was recently reported that a lawsuit against the CMT was successful. While there may be legal steps still to come, the final year of tests can press ahead this summer. That’s good news. What’s learned from the CMT can help Keep Tahoe Blue.

The League will remain vigilant, ensuring the CMT proceeds as planned and the Lake is protected. Learn more about the lawsuit and the invasive weed treatments being tested at keeptahoeblue.org/cmt.
