Get Outside. Give Back. 💙

Getting outside is part of what makes Lake Tahoe so special. Protecting it is what keeps those experiences possible.

This month, we're highlighting two Tahoe Blue Businesses that make it easy to do both. Whether you're exploring the Basin or gearing up for your next adventure, these partners are finding meaningful ways to give back to the Lake through everyday actions.

Members in our Tahoe Blue Business program commit to responsible practices, community education, and real impact that helps protect the Lake's clarity and water quality. Meet the crew.

Lake Tahoe Tours and Rentals

The best way to explore Lake Tahoe is with people who care about protecting it. That's what makes Lake Tahoe Tours and Rentals a strong member of our Tahoe Blue Business program.

As a premier tour and rental outfitter in South Lake Tahoe, their team connects visitors to the outdoors through guided experiences and year-round activities. Their mission is simple: help people experience Tahoe like a local, while building a deeper appreciation for the place they're exploring.

That commitment shows up in action. Their crew volunteers at Keep Tahoe Blue cleanups, provides in-kind support, and has launched their own Tahoe Blue Crew to care for the areas where they live and work.

By pairing outdoor recreation with stewardship, they're helping protect the landscapes that make Tahoe such a special place to explore.

Upcycled Adventures

Sustainability starts with rethinking how we consume, and Upcycled Adventures is leading the way in Truckee.

As Truckee's first dedicated outdoor gear consignment shop, they make it easier to get outside while reducing waste. By giving high-quality gear a second life, they're helping lower the environmental impact of outdoor recreation.

Their commitment goes beyond the shop, giving customers the option to round up at checkout to support Keep Tahoe Blue. Their operations prioritize plastic-free alternatives, including eliminating plastic hang tags, an all-too-common type of litter. Their team also volunteers at cleanups and restoration events and has launched their own Tahoe Blue Crew to care for local trails and natural areas.

We're proud to partner with Upcycled Adventures and grateful for the everyday choices they make to support the Lake.
