Tahoe Blue Businesses Put Purpose Into Practice

Lake-saving work happens at volunteer events and in meeting rooms in Washington, D.C. It can also show up in the gear people choose when getting ready for the day, the local products they pick up after an adventure, and the business practices happening behind the scenes.

This month's Tahoe Blue Business spotlight features Arcade Belts and The Brewer's Cabinet, two partners building support for Lake Tahoe into products their customers already use and enjoy.

THE BREWER'S CABINET

The Brewer's Cabinet's Tahoe Blonde Ale is here for a limited time with a focused purpose.

Through the Tahoe Blonde Can-paign, $1 from every six-pack sold supports Keep Tahoe Blue's Lake-saving work, and this summer's in-house draft promotion extended that support to pints poured at the brewery.

The partnership grew from what they saw at the July 5th Keep Tahoe Red, White & Blue  Cleanup, when volunteers had their hands full after one of Tahoe's busiest holiday weekends. That experience inspired the brewery to use what it does best to support the Lake. Through their Can-paign, customers can help protect Lake Tahoe's clear water, beaches, and natural beauty with every purchase.

That commitment also shows up in the brewery's operations. The Brewer's Cabinet runs a six-pack cap refund program, donates spent grain to local farmers, grows native plants on the property, and works to reduce water use during brewing.

From the can to the brewhouse, The Brewer's Cabinet is making stewardship part of the Tahoe Blonde experience.

ARCADE BELTS

Arcade Belts has built its brand around gear made for movement. Its Arcade x Keep Tahoe Blue Belt brings that outdoor focus into a partnership that supports Lake Tahoe.

The co-branded belt is made with recycled yarns and sustainable natural rubber, and 10% of every sale supports Keep Tahoe Blue's mission. It is a useful piece of outdoor gear with a direct connection to protecting the Lake.

Arcade's partnership extends beyond sales. The company has donated belts for events and volunteer gifts, and has backed our annual Labor Day Cleanup for years with raffle swag, volunteer refreshments, tents, and event promotion.

For a Tahoe Blue Business with an outdoor audience, that mix matters. Product design, customer reach, and on-the-ground cleanup support all point people toward the same message: protecting the places they explore.
