Tahoe City Businesses Stepping Up for the Lake

Read this eNewsletter online

This month, we're spotlighting three Tahoe Blue Businesses in the heart of Tahoe City. Each one supports Lake Tahoe in a unique way, united by a shared belief: what's good for the Lake is good for business, the community, and future generations.

Our Tahoe Blue Businesses commit to responsible practices, guest and employee education, and meaningful action that helps protect the Lake's clarity and water quality. Let's meet our crew.

Evo Tahoe City

New to our Tahoe Blue Business program this year, evo Tahoe City is more than a retail shop. It’s a gathering place for outdoor enthusiasts and a growing hub for community connection in downtown Tahoe City.

The shop offers technical service, boot fitting, and gear for every season, where customers can round up at checkout to donate directly to Keep Tahoe Blue.

They're launching their own Tahoe Blue Crew to host local cleanups in the Tahoe City community this summer. Their community support extends to the onsite restaurant, which directly supports Protect Our Winters, reinforcing a shared commitment to climate action.

We're excited to work with evo Tahoe City as they continue turning passion for the outdoors into meaningful stewardship for the Lake.

Tahoe National Brewing

At Keep Tahoe Blue, we believe sustainability should show up in everyday operations. That's exactly what you'll find at Tahoe National Brewing in Tahoe City.

Brewed in Tahoe, they prioritize local, seasonal ingredients, with many items made from scratch. They use compostable to-go containers and bamboo straws, serve beverages in 100% recycled fiber cups, and have eliminated plastic bottled water in favor of local Tahoe tap and reusable options.

Staff are encouraged to use TART Connect shuttles to cut down on vehicle trips, and they've launched their own Tahoe Blue Crew to host local cleanups. We're proud to partner with Tahoe National Brewing and grateful for the everyday actions they take for the Lake.

Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema

Tahoe-Truckee’s independent cinema drafthouse, the Tahoe Art Haus

Protecting the Lake takes more than science and policy. It takes culture, conversation, and community. That’s what Tahoe Art Haus & Cinema delivers.

As Tahoe-Truckee's independent cinema drafthouse, the Art Haus creates space for connection through film — from environmental documentaries to local storytelling and events that spark meaningful dialogue.

Behind the scenes, they encourage reusable cups to reduce plastic waste and make thoughtful operational choices that reflect their values. They also proudly offer Keep Tahoe Blue stickers as a suggested donation, directly supporting our mission.

We're grateful for their partnership and for inspiring a community committed to protecting Lake Tahoe for generations to come.
