Art Submission Guidelines

Blue Bottle Love Art Submission Guidelines

Background: The League to Save Lake Tahoe is collaborating with Blue Bottle Love to create a Lake Tahoe inspired blue glass water bottle. We are calling on our supporting artists to submit a design to be etched on the glass bottles. A panel of three League staff members will select by anonymous, majority vote, one artist’s work to be featured on the bottle. If selected, you will receive a payment of $300 for your artwork, your design will be featured on one side of the bottle with the Keep Tahoe Blue logo on the other and your name can be highlighted in the item description on our online store!

Artwork specifications:

  • Artwork must be inspired by Lake Tahoe and must be original art, free of any copyright violations
  • Can be a hand drawn design or a vector file

  • Black and white only for ease of transforming into usable artwork for the bottles

  • Thick, bold lines sandblast nice and deep, and stand out the best however, if you have a very intricate piece, it can be simplified

  • A round or vertical format works best, rather than wide horizontal design

  • 3.5" width is the widest and 4” height is the tallest

  • Artwork selected can be recognized with the artist’s name and website/handle (if applicable) on the League’s online store, and a social media post/e-blast announcing the selection.
  • Once selected, the League will be in touch with an agreement to sign, releasing the art fully to the League for use and, for this release, the League will pay the artist $300. The selected artist will have to complete a IRS W2 in order to receive payment. Once released, the artwork is the property of the League to use in any manner and the artist may not use it for other purposes.

  • If not selected, all artwork will be returned to the artist, deleted by the League and will not be used by the League in any way.
