William Butkus
William is a dedicated and innovative nonprofit advocacy, campaign manager and government relations professional from the San Francisco Bay Area with 20 years of issue advocacy, community engagement, lobbying, grant distribution and grassroots organizing experience. He has worked for a variety of nonprofits, national trade associations and elected officials, and served on a committee for the City of Oakland, California for four years. A strong leader, team player and strategic thinker, William brings a wealth of expertise to the League in his role as Policy Advocate.
Previously, William worked for notable national nonprofit advocacy organizations such as the National Parks Conservation Association, Amnesty International USA and the Alliance for Justice. He developed a love for Lake Tahoe growing up camping at D.L. Bliss and Sugar Pine Point state parks, and skiing at various resorts in Lake Tahoe.
