Liz works with the Community Engagement Team to create an informed and engaged community that supports the League’s priority goals and mission to protect Lake Tahoe. She implements educational programs, conducts general outreach at events throughout Lake Tahoe, and assists with multiple volunteer-driven events.  

Liz joined the League in 2023 as a seasonal staffer. Her passion for education, science, and the environment has taken her to Catalina Island, the Sierra Nevada, and Monterey Bay as an environmental educator and university science laboratory technician. She has a BA in Biology from UC Santa Cruz and a Life Science teaching credential from Chapman University.

Liz is a lifelong fan of Lake Tahoe – she has been coming here since childhood and has lived here since 2007. She enjoys hiking, biking, backpacking, kayaking, and catering to her cat!
