Help us keep the Tahoe that we love clean by participating in Tahoe's Trash Pickup Challenge, September 18 - 30! You can join us at our in-person events, clean up remotely, or do both. We are getting a later start this year due to the Caldor Fire. We're so grateful the Tahoe Basin is currently safe. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted.
Let's kick off the challenge by celebrating World Cleanup Day/CA Coastal Cleanup Day/Great Sierra River Cleanup on September 18! Join us by tidying up in your neighborhood, local happy place, or one of the litter "hot spots" listed in the sign up form linked below! You can also clean up any day, any time and let us know by filling out the sign up form.
Sign up here to let us know when you will be joining, select the litter “hot spot” you'll be cleaning up, and let us know if you would like to borrow cleanup supplies from one of our three pickup locations.
Join us for an in-person cleanup on September 25 from 9 am - noon! Sign up and learn more here.
Report what you find and double your impact by using the "That's Not Natural" report on the Citizen Science Tahoe App (citizensciencetahoe.org). Or fill in a data card (provided in cleanup kits, or downloadable here) and either drop it off where you borrowed cleanup supplies or email it to email@example.com.
Learn why cleanups are so important and how to conduct a successful cleanup. Attend the virtual Tahoe Blue Crew training on September 28, adopt your Tahoe happy place, and keep it litter-free all month and year! Sign up here. Learn more about Tahoe Blue Crew and check out areas adopted by crews here.
Enter our Tahoe’s Trash Pickup Challenge raffle by submitting data from your cleanup using the Citizen Science Tahoe app, or by emailing a photo of the litter you find to firstname.lastname@example.org. The more data and photos you submit the more entries you get. We will select winners at the end of the month. Below are the photo categories. See our full raffle terms and conditions. We have lots of awesome prizes!
