Using AI in your application (what’s OK, and what’s not)

At Keep Tahoe Blue, we believe that people — not algorithms – make the best hiring decisions. So… we hire the hard way…

EVERY resume we receive is reviewed by a real person, and every interview is scheduled and conducted by members of our team. We use AI-generated transcripts to help reduce bias in interview evaluations, ensuring that candidates are assessed based on the substance of their responses, and not just their style of delivery, and allowing our staff to be fully PRESENT for the interview, instead of hoping they catch everything in their notes. Hiring for us is VERY labor-intensive, but we are so committed to building the BEST TEAM possible that we believe the extra work is worth it.

With that, we encourage applicants to treat AI as a copilot, not an autopilot. That means using AI to polish your resume or prepare for interviewing with us, but not to fully generate documents you submit or generate answers during interviews. We value authenticity, curiosity, and thoughtful engagement, and we look forward to getting to know the REAL YOU…not the AI-generated version of you.

Thanks for being willing to show up authentically – we hope that by being transparent about our process from the get-go, you can place your trust in us that if you submit an application, you will get an honest shot at any of our positions posted.
